My external hard drive is formatted with a Mac format: Mac OS Extended with Read & Write permissions. However, it’s not writable on my working MacBook Pro running macOS Ventura, although it is on my personal MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey. How did this happen?
My guess is that there’s a profile on your Mac that prevents you from moving files from the working Mac to external drives, for security’s sake.
To verify my assumption, go to System Settings and search for Profiles in the search bar. Then check if there’s any profile installed.
If I’m right, you need to contact the IT for help.
It’s usually due to profiles managed by your company. Maybe ask your colleagues to see if that’s the same for them.
