Hi there, I recently got a MacBook Neo, but I’ve been experiencing several issues with it, and I’m not sure if it’s the macOS system caused them.
Safari keeps crashing: When I open Safari and try to sign in to my Google account or YouTube, the page keeps loading/spinning and then Safari eventually crashes.
Google Chrome won’t open: I installed Google Chrome as an alternative to Safari, but Chrome also crashes whenever I try to open it.
Mail app won’t sync: I’m also unable to sync my email accounts with the Mail app. I’ve tried setting them up, but nothing seems to work.
I’ve already updated the MacBook to the latest available software and restarted it, but all of these issues are still happening.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any suggestions on how to fix them would be greatly appreciated.
Test if the problems occur in Safe Mode and in a new user account.
Follow the detailed steps:
Start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Shut down the Mac completely > press and hold the power button until the startup options appear > select your startup disk, hold down the Shift key > click Continue in Safe Mode.
Test Safari, Chrome, and Mail again to see whether the same issues occur.

Alternatively, create a temporary user account to determine whether the issue is specific to your current user profile.
Go to System Settings > Users & Groups > Add User, create a temporary account.
Sign in to it, and test Safari and Chrome again.
If the same problems occur in both accounts, that will give Apple support useful information and help determine the appropriate next troubleshooting step.
For Mail, go to System Settings > Internet Accounts and confirm that your email account is listed. Select the account and make sure Mail is enabled for it.
If the Safe Mode and new account still didn’t work, reinstalling macOS is another try.
