My SD card is not readable on Mac. I’ve tried multiple ways to fix it to no avail. I think my only option is to recover data and erase the SD card. However, when I erase it using exFAT and GUID Partition Map, the process gets stuck at “waiting for partition to activate.” What should I do next?
You’re right that erasing the SD card is the best solution to get it to work again. I see that you’re trying to recover data after erasing the SD card. This is not the best practice.
To maximize the recovery rate of your files, you should restore the data first with iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac and then erase the SD card.
If you can’t erase the SD card in exFAT, try a different file system. For example, you can format it to APFS first, then reformat it again to exFAT or whatever format you want.
