After clearing all the NTFS files I could find on my MacBook Pro but still got a message regularly that “A new version is available.” Is there a way to prevent this notice from appearing?
I encountered this problem before, I just fixed it in the Settings. You can try:
Apple menu > System Settings > Notifications > Find the app(NTFS for Mac) you used, then untick all the boxes.
Software like Paragon NTFS for Mac or Seagate NTFS for Mac can be a headache at times, especially when uninstalling or not using them.
Just deleting the NTFS files is not enough, you have to uninstall the app and the related files together.
The message shows A new version is available indicates this incomplete uninstalling.
You’re highly recommended to utilize the tool iBoysoft MagicMenu, which can realize a total uninstallation.
- Install and open iBoysoft MagicMenu.
- Finder > Applications > Right-click the app > Uninstall > click all the related files > Uninstall.
Or you can use Terminal or try to find all the files in the Library one by one to delete this app.
Most NTFS drivers for Mac can be so hard to get rid of even you have totally moved it into the Trash.
You can check and remove the files: *Finder > Go > Go to Folder> Type
/Library/Application Support/Tuxera NTFS,
/Library/PreferencePanes/Tuxera NTFS.prefPane,
/Library/Preferences/com.tuxera.NTFS.plist,
/Library/StartupItems/TuxeraNTFSUnmountHelper…
then right-click them and choose Move to Trash.

Wow, I tried to uninstall the app with iBoysoft answered by Connie, and the notice didn’t appear.
