I mistakenly deleted some important videos from my iPhone and am desperately trying to retrieve them. I have tried several methods from online guides, but none of them have worked yet.

How can I restore the permanently deleted videos from an iPhone? Please help!

Modern iPhones use embedded NAND flash storage packaged in a chip to store data. Similar to SSDs on a Mac, it has a TRIM-like mechanism. Once a file is deleted, it usually goes through the following processes:

  • The file entry is removed from the file system.
  • The storage pages are marked as unused.
  • The OS informs the storage controller using a TRIM-like mechanism.

Once the blocks are erased, the data is physically gone.
