How to Recover Downloads Files from iCloud on Mac?

Sadly, I accidentally deleted the “Downloads” folder from iCloud to my Mac, but I ran out of storage space. Without thinking, I deleted it and emptied the trash on my MacBook. I later realized that the files were deleted from iCloud, not just my MacBook. How can I recover the deleted files in iCloud?

Hello, it’s so easy to get back files from iCloud.

  1. Visit iCloud.com on your Mac browser.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  3. Find the menu and choose Data Recovery.
  4. Click Restore Files.
  5. Choose your wanted Downloads files and click Restore.

Have you got them? Good luck.

Have you synced with other Apple devices? If yes, on iCloud Drive at iCloud.com, click on “Recently Deleted” in the sidebar. If the sidebar isn’t visible, click the “Open Sidebar” button. You can then choose “Recover All” or select individual files to recover and click “Recover”.

iCloud can retain the deleted files for the last 30 days. If you just deleted them, you can try to search them on iCloud.com.
However, if you deleted them in iCloud Drive or realized to recover more than 30 days, you can’t.
