How do I create an iTunes.txt file to show my missing album artwork?

Hello guys, I have a tricky problem. A few months ago, I discovered an option in iTunes that allowed me to create an iTunes.txt file, which listed all the songs in my music library that were missing album artwork. I saved that file to my desktop. Now I need to create an updated list of songs missing album artwork, but I’ve forgotten how I did it back then.
Can anyone help me?

You might have done something like this a few months ago: iTunes > File > Export. Or you may have used AppleScript, a scripting language for automating tasks on a Mac. You can write or install a script to find songs missing album artwork and generate a list.

You can follow these steps to create an iTunes.txt file to display missing album artwork:

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. In the menu bar, click File.
  3. Select Library, then click Export Playlist.
  4. In the pop-up window, choose Text File (.txt) as the format. Then, enter a file name (for example, iTunes.txt) and select the location to save the file.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Open the generated text file to view the missing album artwork.
