How Can I Remove MacBooster 8 and Leftoverts from Mac?

MacBooster 8 is driving me nuts! It’s bloated, slows down my Mac, and the pop-ups are relentless. How do I completely uninstall this thing? I don’t want any leftovers.

If you’re paranoid about using other software (like me), here’s how to nuke MacBooster manually:

  1. Go to Applications > Drag MacBooster 8 to Trash.
  2. Open Finder > Press Cmd + Shift + G > Paste these paths and delete matching folders/files:
    ~/Library/Application Support/MacBooster/
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.macpaw.MacBooster.plist
    ~/Library/Caches/com.macpaw.MacBooster/
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.MacBooster.*
  3. Open Terminal, and type sudo rm -rf /Library/PreferencePanes/MacBooster.prefPane

Be careful with Terminal commands! Double-check paths.

Searching for the related files one by one is so troublesome, maybe you can’t find all of them at once.

You can use the tool CleanMyApp, a tool can remove the app and associated data together with a few clicks.

  1. Once downloaded, click Grant Access, and the apps are listed for you.
  2. Tick MaBooster 8 and click Uninstall> Continue uninstall.
