How Can I Manage BitLocker Encrypted USB Key on Mac to Avoid Loss

I’ve used iBoysoft BitLocker for Mac to encrypt my USB on my Mac mini. How can I manage the BitLocker-encrypted key on my Mac to avoid losing it someday?

I’ve used iBoysoft BitLocker for Mac to access my BitLocker-encrypted external drive on my Mac. I know that this tool also supports encrypting NTFS, exFAT, and FAT32 drives with BitLocker.

I tried using it to encrypt my NTFS external drive, and found that iBoysoft BitLocker lets you choose a destination to save the BitLocker recovery key (what you say BitLocker-encrypted key) or just print it.

You can save the BitLocker recovery key to your frequently used folder and back it up to iCloud, Notes, or any other place you want.

What is iBoysoft BitLocker for Mac? BitLocker is a feature on Windows. How can you use it to encrypt a USB drive on your Mac?

Thx! I saved my key to the Documents folder on my Mac. I’m afraid that I will accidentally delete it someday in the future. According to your suggestion, I copied the BitLocker-encrypted key and pasted it into my Notes. It’s a good idea to avoid key loss.

iBoysoft BitLocker for Mac is a tool that extends macOS’s limited compatibility with the Windows BitLocker full-volume encryption feature.

It allows you to access, read-write BitLocker-encrypted drives and use BitLocker to encrypt NTFS, exFAT, and FAT32 drives on a Mac. Also, supports you in managing BitLocker drives on Mac.

You can download iBoysoft Bitlocker for Mac on your Mac, install and open it. Then, follow these steps to encrypt a USB drive on your Mac:

Click the add button (+) on the app’s toolbar.

Click the Encrypt button next to your USB drive.
Click OK on the confirmation prompt.
Enter a password to start encrypting the drive with BitLocker.

Choose a way to save your BitLocker recovery key.

After that, your USB drive is protected by BitLocker. Every time you want to access it, you need to enter the password or recovery key.
