Hi, I’m desperate to recover files from iCloud backup online. I accidentally deleted a document file from my phone, not realizing it contained a folder from my computer with 900 files, which also got deleted. After searching the internet for a solution, I found instructions to log into iCloud via a web browser, go to Settings, select “Restore Files,” check all the deleted items, and click “Restore.” However, when I tried, a popup appeared saying, "Sorry, we can’t restore, please try again later."
What should I do now? iCloud says I have 23 days left to restore the items, but for the past two days, I’ve been getting the same error message.
On iCloud.com, you can recover files deleted from both iCloud Drive and other apps within the last 30 days, regardless of whether they were deleted on iCloud.com or another device with iCloud Drive enabled.
However, files that have been permanently removed cannot be restored.
To recover files deleted from iCloud Drive:
Go to iCloud Drive on iCloud.com and click on “Recently Deleted” in the bottom-right corner.
You can either click “Recover All” or select individual files to recover and then click “Recover.”
As a suggestion, consider trying a different network before attempting this again. Follow these steps to potentially recover files from iCloud backup.
Hello, if you fail to recover the deleted files in iCloud when seeing Sorry, we can’t restore, please try again later. You can try other ways to do data recovery.
