Disk Utility shows one SSD as Solid State but another identical one as No

I have two identical Samsung T5 SSDs. In Disk Utility’s Solid State status, I see one shows as Yes while the other as No. Is there performance impact regarding the setting? How do I change it?

Do the two drives use different USB cables? Is one directly connected to your Mac but the other using a hub?

There can be discrepancy in Disk Utility’s Info section, so I won’t worry too much.

You can do an experiment with the 2 drives.

First, you can swap the SSDs but keep the original cable or port. Then check if both appear as Solid State.

Additionally, you can open the System Information app and check the speed of your drive.
