I logged into my iCloud browser and saw the files on my desktop. I then went to my desktop on my MacBook Pro, deleted a file, and emptied the Trash. I could see the file has gone from icloud.com either. I went to recently deleted files on my iCloud account, but I couldn’t find the deleted file. How can I restore the deleted file on my desktop?
If you need that file, look for your backup. If you don’t have a backup, you need a data recovery program like iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac to help you get it back. I’ve used this tool to help me restore my deleted photos last year and the operations are simple.
- Download iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac on your Mac.
- Select macOS - Data (maybe yours is Macintosh HD - Data) and click Search for Lost Data.
- After scanning, find your deleted file from the scanning results.
- Preview the file, check it, and click Recover to restore it to another destination.

Permanently deleted files can’t be found in iCloud. You need a data recovery tool to help you. iCloud syncs every change made on your Mac.
Thanks a lot
, I’ve tried this software, and now my deleted file is back.
Thanks, I got that. I mistakenly thought that I could find the deleted files from my iCloud.
