Can't turn on BitLocker on BootCamp Windows partition

Hi guys, I need help. Whenever I attempt to turn on BitLocker on my BootCamp Windows partition, I always receive this error message: “BitLocker setup requires the drive file system to be NTFS. convert the file system and run BitLocker setup again.” But my C drive is already in the NTFS file system. How can I turn on BitLocker?

Here’s how to turn on BitLocker on a Boot Camp Windows partition:

  1. Download iBoysoft DiskGeeker for Mac.
  2. Select the Windows partition from the left.
  3. Click the Encrypt button at the right toolbar.
  4. Tap Continue to proceed.
  5. Enter your password and confirm it.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Save the BitLocker recovery key to a file or print it.
  8. Click Next > Start encrypting.

Finding a reliable tool to activate BitLocker on your Boot Camp Windows partition is the best choice. There’s a Terminal way to activate BitLocker but it’s from years ago and likely won’t work anymore.
