Hi guys, I need help. Whenever I attempt to turn on BitLocker on my BootCamp Windows partition, I always receive this error message: “BitLocker setup requires the drive file system to be NTFS. convert the file system and run BitLocker setup again.” But my C drive is already in the NTFS file system. How can I turn on BitLocker?
Here’s how to turn on BitLocker on a Boot Camp Windows partition:
- Download iBoysoft DiskGeeker for Mac.
- Select the Windows partition from the left.
- Click the Encrypt button at the right toolbar.
- Tap Continue to proceed.
- Enter your password and confirm it.
- Click Next.
- Save the BitLocker recovery key to a file or print it.
- Click Next > Start encrypting.
Finding a reliable tool to activate BitLocker on your Boot Camp Windows partition is the best choice. There’s a Terminal way to activate BitLocker but it’s from years ago and likely won’t work anymore.
