Any recommended program to recover erased files on Mac

Hello, I attempted to transfer some private data from a MacBook to OneDrive. I accidentally hit the incorrect button during the procedure, which caused me to lose all those files. They were never moved to OneDrive and were permanently erased from my laptop (none of them were in the trash). There is no previous configuration needed to utilize Time Machine with an external disk. The installation of software to recover erased files was the only remedy provided by Apple Support. When I used a handful of them with a free license, I was able to recover hundreds of undesired and pointless files that had been deleted years and years before, but not the few that I needed.

Is there a program you would suggest using to recover these erased files? Naturally, I anticipate having to pay for a license for it to function. However, if I pay for it, I’m scared I’ll find the same old information that was erased years ago again. Regards for your help.

If there is no backup for your Mac, the third-party data recovery software is what you can rely on. There is one thing you need to understand, when you recover deleted/lost files on the Mac hard drive, only the unwritten data can be recovered. If you have stopped writing new data to it after you found the issue, it is possible to retrieve the lost files.
As for data recovery software, you can try iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac. You can download, install, and open it for free, then, scan the drive and free preview the results, if there are wanted items, you can purchase the software and recover, if not, you won’t waste money, nothing to lose.

Unluckily, if you have already tried several data recovery software, but only the files that had been deleted a long time ago are recoverable, it seems that the recently lost data has already been overwritten given that the data is randomly saved, and only the unwritten data can be scanned out.
