4TB Cruicial SSD Not Detected in Disk Utility after Sequoia Update

I keep most of my data, mainly photos and videos, in a 4TB Cruicial SSD. I had no issues accessing it until the update to macOS Sequoia. Ever since, the SSD doesn’t light up but I can still hear some high-frequency sounds when I plug it in.

I’ve tried using different USB ports and USB-C cables, but nothing seems to work. How can I have my Mac detect the external drive?

Are you using a USB dock or adapter?

If so, try directly connecting your SSD to your Mac. Or, you can use a different adapter.

What is the drive formatted in? If it’s NTFS, the Sequoia upgrade may have broken your NTFS for Mac driver. To use your external drive, you just need to uninstall the incompatible NTFS driver and use iBoysoft NTFS for Mac.
