Why Does The Deleted File Not Go To Trash On My Mac?

Every time I delete a file, it does not go to the trash, it simply disappears so the trash is useless. How can I fix this problem? I want my deleted files to be shown in my Mac Trash.

It seems that the trash folder went wrong on your Mac device, you're suggested to re-create one by running this command:

rm -rf ~/.Trash

Just open Mac Terminal, copy and paste the command line into the Terminal window, and then hit the Return/Enter key to execute it.

You may be required to type in your admin account password. For security's sake, Mac Terminal will not show you the password you're typing, just Make sure the password you're typing is correct. Followingly, hit Return/Enter to begin the trash folder creation.

When this process ends, go to move a file to trash seeing if it shows up there.
