My MacBook Pro abruptly went down and is now unable to turn on. I went to an approved Apple service center, and they told me that the motherboard needed to be changed, and that data would be lost because the SSD is built into the motherboard. If I recover data from a private data recovery institute throughout that procedure, and some tapering occurs, my Apple warranty will be voided. Apple is neither recovering nor allowing me to retrieve my data. I have very significant data on that SSD (a year of hard effort). Can anyone relate to this situation or advise me on what I should do?
Hi there, based on your description and Apple's statement, I feel sorry but I have to tell you that there is no hope of recovering your hardworking achievement if you have no extra backup. Just like what Apple said, the SSD is soldered on the motherboard, once the motherboard gets corrupted, the SSD cannot survive as well. You're highly recommended to enable Time Machine or any other cloud storage to back up your device in real-time.
