Used disk Space on Mac doesn't add up?

Finder says my 1TB hard drive is low on space, so I looked into it. To my surprise, the used space shown in About This Mac, Omni Disk Sweeper, and Finder are so different. Logged into my Wife's account, the used space for Other Users is 256GB and the available space is 39GB. However, in my account, it's 620GB and 96GB respectively.

The number in "About This Mac" is flawed. The best way to check your Mac's used and available space is to right-click on "Macintosh HD" on the desktop and choose "Get Info."

If you want to thoroughly examine the contents of your disk and delete unnecessary files, it's recommended to use iBoysoft DiskGeeker. It's a versatile disk management tool that can analyze the disk space on your Mac and clean unwanted and junk files to make more available space.
