How To Fix Ejected Hard Drive Still Running On MacBook Pro Trouble?

I am having a problem with ejecting my external Hard Drive from my 2018 Mac book Pro. When I eject the hard drive, it powers down for a split second but then lights back up and remains powered (although it shows ejected in finder/disk utility). I ultimately end up having to shutdown in order to physically remove it safely. My external hard drive does not have built in power source and I do not have this problem ejecting it from my Mac Trashcan. Is there anyone who can help me with this issue?

Hi there, I wanna tell you that the external hard drive stops running as long as you eject it from your MacBook Pro and the remaining light has no effect on your drive at all, so you can unplug it straightforwardly.

If you really mind the light that is on, you can eject the external hard drive from the Mac Trash instead.
