External SSD Disappeared after macOS 27 upgrade on Mac mini

After installing macOS Golden Gate, my external SSD disappeared from Finder and Disk Utility. I have an SSD enclosure connected through a UGREEN Docking Station USB-C into the Mac mini M4.

Have you tried it on another Mac?

If not, try it on another Mac to see whether it works. If it functions normally on another Mac, try it on your Mac ruuning macOS 27 again.

Try these:

  • Connect your SSD directly to the USB port
  • Use a different USB cable or port
  • Check if it appears in System Information > USB
