This is my first MacBook, and I don’t know anyone who uses a Mac, so I’d really appreciate some recommendations!
My storage filled up surprisingly fast, but none of my apps or files seem large enough to explain it. I’ve heard there are apps that visualize disk usage and help find what’s taking up space.
What apps do you recommend, and are they worth using?
Be very careful with some “disk cleanup” applications, they may randomly toss very useful stuff. One visual disk analyzer yet cleanup software named iBoysoft Cleaner (I’ve used alread) is an exception.
Its Space Optimizer feature helped me visualize my SSD disk usage via a directory tree. Thus, I can clearly see what is using my disk space most at one glance.
The AI-powered analysis helped me identify which file or folder is safe to clear and which should not be removed. There is no chance to accidently delete useful stuff.
It has an independent Large Files feature to find out the large files and list them out in descending order. I select the big files to release my space at my disposal.
Deleting system junk, similar photos, duplicate files and uninstalling unwanted apps further free up my Mac disk space.
